Day 5 - Preview

Apologies for the late post people! Today was a really fruitful day. We're still trying hard to compile what we have learned, and after the visit to Zuellig, i'll definitely say, you have to sign up for IPEP if you can! There's only so little that can be explained by text, and they don't allow us to take pictures of the internal structures. I think its something to do with company security apart from confidentiality purposes. They won't want criminals to use our pictures to start planning how to infiltrate the warehouse and so on. So many expensive drugs inside, its too high a risk!

Just briefly summarizing the day, we had a little session with the logistics department in MSD about third party distributors and how MSD liaises with different parties to get the products from the manufacturers to the end-users. Then, in the afternoon, we visited Zuellig Pharma main Malaysia branch which is in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

Boon sia was the pharmacist from Zuellig taking us on the tour. Lilynn, she's the medical sales liaison and our mentor. She's also our senior, the first ever batch from 2+2 UNMC! In fact, she's also former PROfficer! And finally Stephanie, also our mentor, is from the market access department.
